The Margin Offer

On 14 June the 20 DHB Chief Executives agreed an Offer for pharmacy owners on funding for Margins and subsidised unregistered medicines (section 26 / section 29). This Offer has been refined from the original proposal that went out for consultation in late March, following significant feedback from you.

Sector agents, DHBs and the Ministry worked together to address your feedback and refine the Offer, however this has meant that Implementation will be 1 August 2016 rather than 1 July 2016. Sector agents support the refined Offer and we thank them for engaging constructively to find a solution all parties could support.

The Voluntary Variation, Offer and Formal Notification

Community pharmacy owners who have signed a Variation or "The Offer" have been sent a formal notice of the variation of the CPSA under clause L6 (a) by their DHBs. This took effect 1 August 2016.
